Bachelor of Music (Choral Direction)

The programme was created in 2021, in response to a growing need in the country to have professionals specialized in choral conducting, who can lead diverse choral groups, in educational and cultural, recreational and professional institutions. At the Music Institute of the Alberto Hurtado University, he has considered it pertinent to make a contribution to the professionalization of this discipline, based on his solid experience in the field of training singers and also in choral conducting at the school level. The career is also based on the tradition inherited from the Instituto de Música de Santiago founded by Sylvia Soublette, which was influential in the area of ​​vocal development. During their training, the students acquire technical and interpretive solvency at the highest level in choral conducting,
