The Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering provides a multidisciplinary training with a solid base of scientific-technological skills and knowledge.

This training facilitates access to and completion of master's degree studies which, together with this degree, make up an integrated programme of studies that qualifies students for the profession of industrial engineer.

It provides a multidisciplinary scientific and technological base, with solid and integrative generalist training in all branches of engineering: mechanical, electrical, energy, electronics, automation, construction and installations, materials, chemistry, design, environment, organisation and management of projects and companies.

The versatility and adaptability of all graduates in this field also allows them to develop their training through other master's degrees, such as those specialising in traditional or emerging areas of knowledge (nanotechnologies, new materials...) or master's degrees oriented towards research and subsequent development of doctoral studies.

The Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering has two main purposes:

  • The creation of versatile technicians and generalists with a background in physics and mathematics and that, despite not having professional attributions, would be totally valid in the industrial world in, for example, business R&D departments, positions of responsibility in SMEs, forming part of multidisciplinary work teams or attached to teaching in secondary schools or vocational training modules.
  • To provide students with a solid base of scientific-technological skills and knowledge to facilitate access to and completion of Master's degree studies. These master's degrees can be a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, specialisation master's degrees in traditional areas of knowledge (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) or emerging ones (MBA, Bioengineering, Nanotechnologies, New Materials...), or master's degrees oriented towards Research and subsequent development of the Doctorate.

Professional graduates:

  • These graduates are the best prepared to access with guaranteed success to the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, which gives them the full attributions of an industrial engineer.
  • Thanks to a solid scientific training and a variety of knowledge in different technologies, they have a generalist and multidisciplinary character.
  • Possibility of holding positions of responsibility in SMEs or forming part of multidisciplinary work teams in any type of company.
  • Ability to integrate knowledge from different areas for the drafting and development of projects in the field of industrial engineering.
