The Doctoral Program in Aerospace Technology: Electromagnetic, Electronic, Computer and Mechanical Engineering responds to a demand from the R & D & I system both nationally and internationally, as is that of professionals trained in the fields of aerospace application technologies, including radio communications, systems integration, as well as electromagnetic engineering., mechanics, electronics and computer science. The doctoral program is now set up as a combination of several research teams with a common goal, the development of technology that can be used in aerospace projects. This is a training area that can be considered strategic for the University of Vigo, and that allows the training project in space technology that began with the launch of Xatcobeo, the first Galician satellite, to be extended to the doctorate, while different groups are oriented towards the same goal. with extensive previous experience in doctoral training, as evidenced by the recent launch of the HUMSAT-D, SERPENS and LUME 1 satellites.
