Admission profile

In order to be admitted to the Doctoral Program in Endocrinology, candidates must prove that they have obtained one of the two official university degrees awarded by an accredited European Higher Education institution:

  • Master's degree in any area of ​​Life Sciences (300 total ECTS credits, of which at least 60 ECTS credits will be Master's level). In the case of foreign qualifications, they must accredit an equivalent Master's degree awarded by an accredited Higher Education institution. The Academic Commission (CAPD) of the Endocrinology Program may accept candidates with a Master's degree in other unrelated areas with an equivalent number of credits (300 total ECTS credits, of which at least 60 are Master's level) if it considers that they have obtained sufficient credits in related subjects. with theoretical or practical aspects of biomedical research.
  • Degree in Medicine.
  • Degree in Health Sciences who are undergoing specialized health training (BIR, QIR, FIR, PIR): university graduates who, after obtaining a place in training in the corresponding test for access to specialized health training places, pass with a positive evaluation at least two years of training in a program to obtain the official title of one of the specialties in Health Sciences. Those graduates with an official degree in the areas of Health Sciences or related areas with 300 ECTS credits will carry out the specific complements equivalent to the Master's level credits decided by the Academic Commission (CAPD) of the Endocrinology program, within the official Master's degrees of the USC or UVIGO related to the Endocrinology Program, basically:
  • In general, the Master's studies that will allow admission to this Doctorate program without training supplements will be the Master's in: Advanced Biotechnology, Neuroscience, Nutrition, Methodology and applications in Molecular Biology, Science and technology in Thermalism and Balneotherapy.
  • In turn, Graduates in Medicine from the USC or another accredited European university will be able to access directly.
  • Finally, hospital BIRs, QIRs, FIRs, or PIRs who pass the second specialized training course.
