University of Chittagong, established in 1966, has a longstanding reputation for academic excellence and for providing graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in the constantly evolving workforce. In response to the growing demand for specialized knowledge in the field of Human Resource Management, the Department of Human Resource Management was established in 2013. Following the decisions made during the 144th Faculty Meeting (No. 2, Attachment 01, 06-12-2012), the 226th Academic Council (No. 4, Attachment 02, 30-07-2013), and the 490th Syndicate (No. 4, Attachment 03, 06-08-2013), the Department of Human Resource Management was officially allowed by the University of Chittagong to enroll 100 students. The department offers a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program and a one-year Master of Business Administration (MBA), MPhil, and PhD programs in Human Resource Management. The curriculum adheres to international standards and is updated on a regular basis to meet the ever-changing pressing needs of the global and local workforce. The distinguished and experienced faculty members of the department prioritize teaching, research, and community engagement in order to provide a comprehensive education that emphasizes the practical application of theory in real-world situations. Graduates of the Department of Human Resource Management have made significant contributions to Bangladesh's public and private sectors, pursuing successful careers in human resource management, training and development, labor relations, and industrial relations.
