Gain a firm foundation in the field of biochemistry, both in biological theory and experimentation, to pursue a choice of many career paths after leaving Illinois Tech.
Benefit from small class sizes taught by faculty—not teaching assistants—who are accessible. This allows for individual advising by members of the faculty, which can be an advantage when researching and writing the master’s thesis or conducting a library research project to complete this program.
Alumni work in hundreds of different organizations including paths in both industry—for companies like Merck, Unilever, AbbVie, Abbott, Baxter, Kraft, and GlaxoSmithKline—as well as in research and academia.
