The general objectives proposed for the Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine are the following:

  • Inculcate an interest in research that allows assessing its possible applications in different technological fields.
  • Provide a solid and balanced base of knowledge and practical skills in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
  • Develop skills to apply knowledge in solving research problems, both theoretically and practically.
  • Develop a series of skills (oral and written communication, teamwork, creativity, etc.) for their professional activity.
  • Promote maximum respect for the environment and sustainable development, maintaining an unavoidable ethical commitment, both professional and social.

As far as the training objectives are concerned, the following are proposed: 

  • Provide skills, both manual and conceptual, that allow research in a biomolecular laboratory.
  • Promote the use of scientific literature, as an inexcusable tool for the advancement of research.
  • Develop a precise knowledge of the different biological molecular structures, and of the connection between their alterations and the disease.
  • Develop the ability to communicate the results of scientific research both to colleagues in the area or related areas and to a less specialized public.
