The accelerated master's in biology degree program opens possibilities in industry, business, law, policy, administration, or research, either as a terminal degree or as preparation for a Ph.D.
After completing the bachelor's program, choose a thesis option or a non-thesis option to complete the M.S. in biology.
The thesis option is designed as preparation for a career as an experimental biologists in academia, government, or industry, as well as a path to a Ph.D. This option is available on a competitive basis.
The non-thesis option is intended as a degree to meet the needs of science administrators, policymakers, patent attorneys, and others. A library research project or a laboratory research project is required to complete this master of science program.

Students applying to the Accelerated Master's Program must have completed at least 60 credit hours with at least one full-semester (12 credit hours) of applicable undergraduate study at the university.
Students must be at least one full-time semester (12 credit hours) away from undergraduate degree completion in order to apply.
Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0; however, please consult individual departments for specific minimum GPA requirements.
