A Master of Science program in Materials Science and Engineering requires at least 30 credit hours approved by the Graduate School. Mechanical engineering programs from WSU are available at five locations in the state of Washington. The School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering in Pullman manages three of the locations, our main Pullman campus, at our campus in Bremerton at Olympic College, and our campus in Everett at WSU North Puget Sound at Everett. The Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture also offers ME programs at the WSU Tri-Cities campus and the Vancouver campus. The Pullman campus offers the full WSU four year BS program along with post graduate degree programs. At Bremerton and Everett we offer the upper division BS courses and students utilize local community colleges for the lower division courses transferring to WSU to complete their BS programs. In our classrooms and laboratories future engineers study Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering face to face with MME's world-class faculty. The educational programs are all capped off with industry sponsored real world design problems, resulting in working prototypes designed and constructed by interdisciplinary teams of student engineers. Students also have the opportunity to work on leading edge research, presenting and publishing research results along with our world-class research faculty. The School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering has an active research faculty, conducting research over a wide range of topics. The School supports the vast majority of graduate students to conduct their research. Many graduate students are also supported in the research Institutes, Laboratories, and Centers associated with the school.
