The Foundation Year provides a route onto the BA (Hons) Hospitality Business Management if you don’t have the qualifications, or have not studied advanced level subjects sufficiently related to your course of choice, but have the ability to study a degree. This course is designed to prepare you for a management career in the UK and international hospitality industries. The focus of this degree is to provide you with an exciting and absorbing learning experience by combining academic theory, contemporary industry knowledge and practical management experience. All of the units you will study on this course have been co-written and endorsed by our industry partners. Therefore, the content offers a good progression onto recognised industry graduate schemes. You will benefit from our extensive links with hospitality through a unique opportunity to regularly learn in the workplace, with industry master classes, guest lectures and networking opportunities. Your industry experience will be further developed by our placement year scheme and numerous work experience opportunities, and the option to study a language. Within weeks of joining the University, you will attend a recruitment event, where you will meet key industry professionals from the hospitality industry.
