The BA in Sociology is designed to help students understand social behavior, human culture, and social institutions. The program prepares students to understand the relationship between events in their own lives and the society in which they live by employing theoretical, methodological, and statistical skills.


The BA in Sociology program prepares students to pursue careers directly after the BA or for postgraduate training. Students pursue postgraduate work in a variety of fields, including sociology, health, business, urban planning, and education.
