Admission Criteria

The minimum general requirement for admission to the post-graduate degree programme is a Bachelor Degree from a recognised university. More specifically for the LLM; prospective students should be holders of a Bachelor degree in Law or in another relevant field.

Additional entrance requirements that applications for the LLM should fulfill/satisfy:

  • Two recommendation letters, by persons who know the applicant
  • Personal letter/Statement of research interest by the prospective student, expressing his/her interest in following the programme, sketching out his/her research profile and mentioning his/her expectations from the programme, regarding his/her personal development and professional perspectives
  • Proficient knowledge of English (see below)
  • The Programme admits students both in the Fall and Spring semesters.
English Language Proficiency

Students satisfy the English requirements if their first degree was taught in English. Otherwise, they would need to present a minimum TOEFL score of 550 paper-based or 213 computer-based, GCSE “O” Level with minimum “C” or IELTS with a score of 6.5 or a score placement at the ENGL-100 level of the University English Placement Test. The University offers English courses at various levels to help students reach the required standard for admission to a graduate program.

A certain number of undergraduate and graduate programmes focused solely on Cyprus and Greece are taught in Greek. Students on these programmes are not required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements.
