The Master in Plant Biology and Environment offers training covering all aspects of plant biology, from the functioning of plants at the level of their cells and molecules to the exploitation of their products, including the plant as an organism interacting with its biotic and abiotic environment. The training that we propose to the candidates for the master has the following objectives: • To provide the student with a complete theoretical and practical training at the end of which he will have mastered the principles of plant, cellular, and molecular biology and the concepts of ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology; the techniques of extraction and identification of secondary metabolites; the criteria of taxonomic identification; as well as all the industrial aspects involved in the process of valorization and industrial and commercial exploitation of natural substances, • To understand the development of plants and to study the morphological, physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms of adaptation to their environment, • Exploiting their genetic diversity and that of the interactions established with the biotic and abiotic factors that surround them to propose strategies leading to the improvement of plant production and to a more environmentally friendly cultivation are also the objectives of this master's program. • To train students with the knowledge and skills required to do research, and particularly to pursue studies at the doctorate level in the field of plant biology and the environment. The vocation of the training is to enable candidates to acquire the knowledge and skills required to understand the different fields of plant sciences and their integration in various sectors of activity, including: Education, Research, Agro-Food, Plants/Environment, Pharmaceutical, Parapharmaceutical, Eco-Industries The training also allows students to gain solid basic knowledge in plant genetic resources that our country has hidden, allowing them to significantly advance plant research and technology transfer.
