The “Aquaculture” professionalizing master is a continuation of an academic training “Bachelor in Biology and Ecology of Aquatic Environments” already existing at the University of Souk-Ahras. It is a training that prepares for the management of projects of production and valuation of activities in aquatic ecosystems. It trains students for trades and techniques in the sector: fish, molluscs and crustaceans. • A master's degree in aquaculture is intended for students who desire to play a professional role in the national expansion of aquaculture. • Among the benefits of a master's degree in aquaculture and fisheries is the kind of advanced knowledge of technologies and approaches for food production and resource conservation that are changing the dynamics of sustainable growth all over the world.  • It is a curriculum designed to enrich the student's understanding of the balance between food production and aquatic realities. Unfortunately, in the east of Algeria, despite the potential for water resources represented by continental and maritime bodies of water that can be exploited by aquaculture and inland fishing, few projects have been carried out. These are shrimp farming companies (Skikda), mussel farming companies (Chetaibi) and a freshwater fish farming company in Sétif. This training allows students to acquire solid knowledge in all areas relating to the evaluation, enhancement, management, exploitation and preservation of aquatic, animal and plant biological resources and experiences and personal contacts, facilitating future integration into the professional worldIt meets the demand of companies in assembly or production (biological and ecological knowledge, sizing, impact on the environment, economy, management, marketing of aquaculture products). This training also opens interesting perspectives in research and development in aquaculture.  Job opportunities can be found both in research establishments and in operating structures, leading a program of development, process improvement or product diversification, as well as in circuits relating to quality, processing and marketing of aquatic products.
