The Academic Program Degree in Natural Sciences and Environmental Education, has as a transversal curricular axis the preparation of a professional whose object of study, reflection and research is training in natural sciences and environmental education. This proposal is based on considering the pedagogical basis of education in the sense of its theory, and its corresponding practice of a scientific culture for the development of Valle del Cauca and the country, as the underlying reason.
The mission of the program is to train graduates with teaching, research and human development skills that allow them to perform successfully in educational institutions, so that they contribute to improving the quality of education in the region and the country through reflection, experimentation and the consolidation of research, in order to contribute to the development of a more just, participatory, inclusive and sustainable society.
The vision of the program is to consolidate itself at the regional and national levels as a benchmark program in the training of high-quality science educators, to contribute with relevance and excellence to the development of education in the country and the construction of a more just, participatory, include tea and sustainable.
