With the aim of producing qualified academic and practicing civil engineers, main areas in the Graduate School of Civil Engineering are structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, structures and materials, and engineering management. The Department now has the following laboratories: Engineering Materials Lab, Structural Mechanics Lab, Soil Lab, Bituminous Materials Lab, and Rock Mechanics Lab. These laboratories contain a 500T structure model testing machine, testing rotary kiln, 150T compression tester, 30T universal testing machine, a 100T MTS with dynamic and fatigue function, and a photoelastic apparatus. There are lots of scholarships offered by various organizations. Every scholarship is considered and granted jointly.

Applicants from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, or United States of America or have studied and earned degree in these countries can provide the document and waive the English Proficiency test scores. TaiwanICDF scholarship applicants (for Master Program) also should complete online system. (http://www.icdf.org.tw/ct.asp?xItem=12505&CtNode=30316&mp=2), and then submit the required documents to embassy. Scholarship applicants can submit registration form of scholarship for replacing financial statements. TaiwanICDF scholarship application is only for Fall semester enrollment. All new students are REQUIRED to have a health check-up for university enrollment.
