Admission requirements

To successfully apply for the Master of Advanced Studies in Economics (MASE) programme, you need to have obtained exceptional study results in your previous academic programme.

Diploma requirements: a university Master's degree with a solid background in mathematics and statistics (for example, a university Master's degree obtained at the Faculty of Engineering or at the Faculty of Bioscience engineering) and with a strong interest in economics. As this is an advanced programme, students who did not obtain a Master's degree of Economics at KU Leuven are expected to have acquired the necessary background in economics at the equivalent level, or to be willing to undertake self-study to bring their knowledge up to this level. In particular, students are expected to have a knowledge of microeconomics.
