Master of Management Engineering

The Master of Science in Management Engineering is positioned to attract academic bachelor graduates with a strong quantitative and technical/scientific background. The programme offers an advanced quantitative and science-based training in business economics and the various management subfields, with the aim of providing in-depth and interdisciplinary insight into how businesses operate.

The programme challenges its students to become multi-deployable game changers and the next generation of business leaders in a complex international business world.

Career perspectives

Due to their unique background combining a technical-scientific foundation with a comprehensive training in business economics, management engineers are high-potential graduates who can be employed in a wide variety of positions in companies and organisations in Belgium and abroad. They have a broad view of business operations and of the interaction and close connection between the various business areas (e.g. strategy, accounting, finance, marketing, logistics, operations) in which decisions are taken. They have the skills to foster innovation in context of rapidly evolving technologies and dynamic markets. They design, optimise and manage business processes, adopting a distinctly analytical approach and considering ethical aspects of corporate responsibility.

Management engineers should be ready to serve in management or advisory roles at companies or institutes. They may take up key positions that allow them to align the operational level (production and services) with the other aspects of a business (financial, HR, organisation, marketing and sales). Continuing the further development of their interdisciplinary knowledge and managerial skills they will be able to advance to supervising advisory and policymaking roles or to higher management positions in a wide range of domains.
