Mission of the Data Science Program: 1. To provide the best education in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for students to become competent graduates with national character and global perspectives, ready to face challenges in the midst of the Industry 4.0 revolution. 2. To conduct research and development in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data that have an impact on the advancement of academic and professional disciplines. 3. To engage in community service by applying knowledge in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. 4. To implement good and clean governance in order to achieve accountable budget management. 5. To develop the quality of human resources with excellent character, reliability, intelligence, and leadership qualities. 6. To develop an integrated facility and infrastructure management system that supports operations. 7. To establish cooperation with the community, institutions, and government as well as private agencies to continuously improve the quality of activities and outcomes of higher education's tridharma (three main duties).
Graduates of the data science program at UPN are projected to become several types of graduates, including: 1. Data Analyst Graduates who have the ability to analyze, apply data analysis techniques, and communicate findings using software to solve data analysis problems.
2. Data Scientist Graduates who master big data concepts, develop and disseminate AI-based predictive models, and communicate findings to solve problems in various fields and domains of knowledge.
3. Data Engineer Graduates who have the ability to design, integrate, and implement database management architectures for large-scale data processing needs.
4. Intelligent System Developer Graduates with the ability to design, develop, and implement AI-based systems into intelligent system applications.
5. Machine Learning Engineer Graduates with the ability to design, develop, and implement AI-based systems into intelligent system applications.
6. Academics Graduates who have the ability to design, implement, develop scientific knowledge, document, and disseminate the results of scientific research in the field of data science.
This program also has 11 academics from within and outside the country, as well as 2 laboratories as practical and research facilities for its academic community.
