Bachelor of Tourism

Tourism Study Program at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur was established on April 8, 2020, based on the Decision of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 433/M/2020. The establishment of this study program is to respond to the challenges and developments in the tourism industry in Indonesia and the world.
VISION "To become an excellent Tourism Study Program that is adaptive and innovative through the provision of education characterized by national defense and environmental sustainability, in order to realize sustainable and globally-oriented tourism."
MISSION 1. Organizing and developing education in the field of tourism that is adaptive, innovative, and characterized by national defense. 2. Enhancing a research culture in the development of tourism science that is beneficial for the welfare of society. 3. Conducting community service based on research and local wisdom. 4. Establishing clean governance to achieve budget management accountability in the Tourism Study Program. 5. Developing the quality of human resources with excellent attitudes and values, performance, mastery of relevant knowledge, and managerial skills relevant to the field of tourism. 6. Improving the integrated management system of facilities and infrastructure in the Tourism Study Program. 7. Enhancing institutional cooperation with stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
Tourism Study Program at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur is committed to producing graduates as Eco-tourism Destination Managers and Experts (Consultants and Instructors) in Eco-tourism. As eco-tourism destination managers, graduates of the Tourism Study Program at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur are directed to have competencies as sociopreneurs (managers or other staff in the field of eco-tourism and eco-tourism entrepreneurs). Meanwhile, as eco-tourism experts, graduates are directed to become local enablers (consultants, analysts, researchers, communicators, and bureaucrats).
As a manifestation of the University's Mission / Vision, the Faculty's Mission / Vision, and the Tourism Study Program's Mission / Vision, the educational objectives of the program are designed for 3-5 years after students' graduation. Tourism Study Program graduates must have:
1. Tourism Study Program graduates succeed in careers characterized by integrity in general tourism competencies and specifically in ecotourism, prioritizing national and humanitarian interests, cultural values, upholding Pancasila values, and always emphasizing integrity, professionalism, and effective communication.
2. Tourism Study Program graduates possess good leadership qualities, high ethical standards, and lifelong learning to maintain excellence in innovation, and have a high level of creativity.
3. Tourism Study Program graduates can identify, manage, and plan the development of tourist destinations with ecotourism as its main focus.
4. Tourism Study Program graduates can develop tourism business plans considering aspects of sustainable development.
5. Tourism Study Program graduates can develop education and training plans to improve tourism human resource skills and effectively communicate with the community during mentoring.
