Master of Information Technology

The Master of Information Technology Program at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur was established to provide significant benefits to the institution and stakeholders in the development of national resources. Therefore, the Vision, Mission, and Objectives are formulated to support and strengthen the Vision, Mission, and Objectives of the education program, both at the Faculty of Computer Science specifically and at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur generally.
Vision: With reference to the University and Faculty Vision, and in line with the needs of the industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 era, as well as the importance of preparing for mastery of artificial intelligence, the vision of the Master of Information Technology Program is determined as: "To become an excellent Program of Study in the field of Information Technology based on Intelligent Systems with National Character."
The above vision contains core content, each of which has its own meaning: - A Program of Study that excels in the field of Information Technology. - A Program of Study that prepares resilient human resources according to the era (the era of intelligent systems towards industry 4.0 and Society 5.0). - A Program of Study that prepares noble-minded human resources who love their country and nation (national character).
Mission: To realize the above vision, clear and realistic missions with four main targets are established: graduates, research, technology dissemination, and cooperation. The missions are as follows: 1. Organizing quality and nationally-characterized Master of Information Technology education to produce qualified and competitive graduates at the local, national, and international levels. 2. Conducting quality research to produce national and international-level publications, intellectual property rights, textbooks, policies, and useful and usable technologies in the field of Information Technology. 3. Organizing community service as the development and application of information technology by prioritizing local resources through implementation services, consultation, mentoring, and training. 4. Establishing cooperation with various institutions, both domestically and internationally.
Objectives: The objectives of the Master of Information Technology Program are: 1. Educating and producing graduates to become academics, scientists, and experts in the field of information technology, especially in the areas of intelligent systems, cyber security, network management, and IT infrastructure management. 2. Training and producing graduates capable of critical thinking, innovation, and continuous development through lifelong learning processes. 3. Educating and producing competitive and independent graduates to compete at the national and international levels in the field of Information Technology through the ability to conduct research and scientific publications. 4. Educating and producing graduates capable of contributing to society through the application of knowledge in the field of information technology.
Graduates of the MTI program at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jawa Timur will receive a Master of Computer (M.Comp.) degree. The profile of MTI graduates from UPN Veteran Jawa Timur is expected to have the ability and competence in several areas, including:
1. Researcher: Conducting research, either in groups or independently under supervision, in the field of intelligent information technology research. 2. Academics: Engaging in teaching and research activities in intelligent information technology at an institution or educational environment. 3. Computer Network & Cybersecurity Specialist: Designing and managing network systems, monitoring, as well as managing servers, security systems, and installed software. 4. IT Consultant: Integrating information technology into businesses and demonstrating to clients how to use IT more efficiently to help achieve goals and targets. 5. Intelligent Information Technology Analyst and Designer: Conducting fundamental analysis and design of intelligent information technology, examining information technology issues, and demonstrating expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating both strategic and implementation plans.
