Who should apply?

We expect applicants to be interested in the research programmes published on our website.

Application requirements: fully completed MSc degree in mathematics; proof of English proficiency (TELC B2, ECL B2, TOEFL- iBT:72, or RPDT – 72; Cambridge First Certificate at least “B”; IELTS - 5.5); scanned transcripts* of previous studies, a recent medical certificate of satisfactory general health status (not older than 1 month), letters of recommendation from two mathematics professors such that at least one of them should be the targeted scientific supervisor, that is, a professor of the Doctoral School in Szeged. Applicants should choose a concrete research topic from our offer when applying for PhD training.

Application procedure: evaluation of attached documents (in pdf format; diploma, transcripts, certificate of proficiency in English, two letters of recommendation, earlier creative work in mathematics if any) and a Skype interview.

Exemption from English language exam certificate : During the application to the programmes of the Faculty of Science and Informatics those applicants are not required to provide the English language exam certificates who are natives of one of the following countries and can officially demonstrate that their academic studies have been conducted in English.
