The 1st year should be considered as a laboratory in which a large number of disciplines come together (singing, dance, mask, clown, interpretation, acting in English, history of forms theatrical, dramaturgy) aiming to seek the innocence of play, the deployment of each and everyone's territory in a collective art. At the end of a first month back to school during which the students will discover the different teachers, the location, the teams, weekly courses in each discipline will be delivered. October to May in order to let yourself be invaded and question the art of acting in all its forms. The end of the year is devoted to master classes, partly outside the walls in a spirit of multidisciplinarity and crossroads.A pedagogy of personal projects, as well as work of Research are favored from this first year and are developed thereafter.
The 2nd year begins with a month of master class before continuing this work of regularity in each discipline in the direction of deepening.
Cinema and an increase in interpretation in English join the program for this second year. The interpretation time is accentuated and concludes with presentations public during the year.
The Conservatory joined the European grouping E:UTSA in 2013 (Europe: Union of Theater Schools and Academies) whose main objectives are to promote artistic encounters between students from different countries during their studies, and to support young creation, particularly when leaving schools and entering the professional life.
The 3rd year is essentially focused on creation, within the framework of workshops led by guest artists or teachers from the school and carried out in the time and conditions for professional production.
These workshops give rise to public presentations. Some of these workshops take place “outside the walls”, notably outside Paris, in partnership with a regional theater or a festival. This immersion in the life of a creation and distribution structure allows a connection with all the components of the theater (administrative, technical, relationship with the public).
The last two workshops of the course are logically led by students, an illustration of the invention of their own theater, of their path towards leaving school and towards professional life.
These workshops allow students to engage in strong artistic adventures and to encounter, over the course of the year, unique and new worlds. Students thus adapt to varied aesthetics and pedagogies, over the course of a project which is carried by the final energy of a relationship with the public. They make it possible to put into practice and develop the acquired knowledge of the first two years of learning, to acquire autonomy and freedom in creation, and to experience professional practice by having the time and the interlocutors necessary for its questioning.
The year is punctuated by short internships which allow students to familiarize themselves with different activities linked to their future profession: dubbing, entertainment law, casting exercises, etc.
A trip abroad concludes this last year.
