Based on the university’s responsibilities towards society in general and what it provides to people with needs in particular, the Department of Special Education was opened at the College of Education in Wadi Al-Dawasir after the noble royal approval was issued in 1432 AH for its establishment and the start of presenting its educational programs and plans to become one of the important departments within the wonderful new system of departments of the College of Education in This is an ambitious university.
Studies in the department began in the first semester of the academic year 1431/1432 AH with only two tracks: the intellectual education track and the learning difficulties track. The department seeks to expand its tracks and activities to include providing distinguished and pioneering educational services in the field of work with people with special needs.
