The kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed an outstanding and comprehensive development in which it aspires not only for the country's development but also to contribute to producing a well-informed and educated generation. Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz is the latest university established according to the royal decree in 2009. Various colleges were originated in the southern areas of Riyadh to conform to the demands of the royal order. One of these branches is the College of Sciences and Humanities in Sulayel.                                                                                 The  College of Sciences and Humanities  in Sulayel has undergone various stages since its inception. It started as a college of education for girls in 2007. After her visit to Sulayel, Princesses Aljawharah Bint Fahd, the rector of Riyadh university, the college was officially opened in Sulayel in 2010 by transferring the Girls' college from Wadi Dawasser to Sulayel. In this year, 2010, south Ryadh were transferred to King Saud university then merged to Prince Sattam university.
The college includes six departments for boys: the department of Islamic studies, the Arabic language department, the English language department, Computer science, Mathematics, Business administration department. The girls' section includes five departments: Islamic studies, Arabic language, English language, computer science, and Mathematics. The number of the students is nine hundred students (boys and girls, and the number of classrooms is sixty-one. The awarded degree is a bachelor's degree in all the departments.
