Are you concerned about health risks associated with the environment? This program aims to train specialists in environmental public health (EPS) and occupational safety (ST) who wish to pursue a career in prevention or inspection. Acquire a solid foundation in natural sciences and public health, while covering the training objectives and skills deemed essential to these specializations as specified by the respective accreditation bodies (BCRSP and CIPHI).

Common core (first 4 quarters)

At the end of these terms, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge in natural sciences and public health
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic methods for identifying health and safety hazards associated with the workplace and the general environment
  • Identify chemical, physical, biological risk factors, and those linked to the layout and ergonomics of the workplace and the general environment and the associated control measures
  • Assess health and safety risks associated with workplace and general environmental risk factors
  • Communicate health and safety risks associated with workplace and general environmental risk factors and make recommendations

Specializations (5th and  6th quarters  )

At the end of these terms during which you specialize in SPE or ST, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate specific knowledge in the field of SPE or ST
  • Put into practice the identification, evaluation, communication or control of risks in PES or ST
  • Communicate effectively orally and written in professional situations and adapt communication to the target audience
  • Act professionally in work situations
