As with last year, 12 of the top 20 universities for psychology are based in the US, including number-one institution Harvard University. Only the University of Amsterdam in the top 20 is based in a non-English-speaking country, with the UK, Canada and Australia the other countries to be represented.

A whopping 91 of the universities ranked below are based in the US, but there are 34 other countries represented too. Outside of the English-speaking world, Germany is one of the most dominant countries with 23 universities, although none of these feature in the top 50.
