With no new entries in the top five of this year’s archaeology subject rankings, the University of Oxford is yet again the best university in the world for the next Indiana Jones. Oxford is one of four UK universities in the top five, the others being Cambridge, University College London (UCL) and Durham.
Slightly further down the table, there are two new entries in the top 10: Italy’s Sapienza University of Rome and New Zealand’s University of Auckland. The US is the most-represented country in the ranking, with 48 universities featured.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject are based upon academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact (click here to read the full methodology).
