The MSc Human-Computer Interaction programme aims to address the market demand for HCI professionals able to apply their skills to design, implement, and evaluate traditional and emergent ‘interactive technologies’. This programme integrates the latest research advances in the field of HCI, powering a unique research-led teaching and learning environment. The knowledge and skills offered by this programme can be applied to an ever-growing range of areas: Artificial intelligence and robotics; Information visualisation and data analytics; Digital entertainment and mobile applications; Social media development; AND Virtual/augmented/mixed reality applications. In addition to offering a solid foundation for future PhD pursuits and careers in research, graduates from this programme will be able to perform roles including: Usability analyst/specialists; User experience designers; Human factor engineers; Application developers; Interaction designers; Video-game designers/developers; Computer-robot interaction specialists; AND Information engineers.

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) offers over 30 undergraduate programs, all of which are taught in English. Bachelors graduates receive two degrees once they complete their program: the XJTLU degree from the Chinese Ministry of Education plus a degree from the University of Liverpool. XJTLU students have the option of completing their last two years of study in Liverpool.

XJTLU’s campus community includes over 13,000 on-campus students plus 500 faculty members representing over 50 countries. An additional 2,500 XJTLU students study at the University of Liverpool. All of XJTLU’s international students have the opportunity to study Chinese as part of their degree program.

Over 5,000 foreign-owned and Fortune 500 companies are based in Suzhou Industrial Park including Siemens, KPMG, Alstom, and HSBC. These companies provide XJTLU students with numerous internship opportunities and job positions. In addition, many XJTLU graduates go on to Masters and PhD study at the world’s top-ranked universities.
