Foundation Year:
The Foundation Year is a ten/eleven-month, full immersion preparatory programme for international students wishing to enroll at the University of Parma or any Italian University or a Music Conservatory.
It addresses prospective students holding a high school diploma but who have linguistic or cultural gaps and/or less than 12 years of schooling, as required by Law to access university in Italy.

Parma is a very user-friendly city, it’s easy to commute, lots of things to do and see, and the inhabitants of Parma are friendly and welcoming.
More than half of the students come from other Italian provinces, and, consequently, the university is ranked among one of the highest levels of non-resident students at a higher education institution.
Hospitality, research and innovation are key to fully accomplish the mission, which is to offer students a complete and authentic experience to ensure personal, intellectual and professional growth. Students are at the center of all university activities, at the heart of one of the most important European Universities, which preserves its ancient prestige while moving towards the future.
Parma combines beauty and efficiency: a medium-sized city of about 197,000 inhabitants where riding a bicycle is the ideal mode of transport – especially while commuting.
