The British and American Studies International Program equips you with multidisciplinary perspectives and practical competencies to become an effective problem solver, thinker, and professional in our digitally and globally connected society. Our re-designed major allows you to examine past, present, and future influences of Britain and America on your country and the world through a flexible course of study conducted in English. You will learn how the language, communication, technology, arts, history, literature, and politics of Britain and the United States shape British and American society, affect your community, and impact global dynamics. The major enriches your knowledge about globalization, social justice, culture and aesthetics, digital technology, intercultural communication, entertainment, politics, human rights, and government through 4 signature areas of study important for creating positive social change and advancing your career: Communication and Digital Media, Culture and History, Foreign Relations and Government and Arts and Literature.
Unlike a traditional major in which you only focus on one academic subject, BAS allows you to take a variety of courses to expand your knowledge, abilities, and interests. You will take classes in the areas of arts, humanities, social and political sciences, digital studies, and communication, so you will graduate with broad intercultural understanding, international perspectives, and professional skills necessary for intellectual advancement, problem solving, and employment.

Thammasat offers graduate degree programs in all fields, covering sociology, humanities, science and technology, and health sciences, in Thai, bilingual and international programs.

There are two types of lecture sessions: normal programs in office hours and special programs in the evenings or on weekends.

Students on master’s degree programs can pursue their own interests in research-oriented programs. Students are required to complete a “thesis” to contribute to a new body of knowledge or conduct a specialized study in their industries or careers.

The doctorate degree programs encourage students to conduct a “dissertation” research contributing to the country’s development and new technologies.
