The Master's programme "Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management" provides students with knowledge and skills for independent scientific work in the fields of sustainable mining, mining rehabilitation and revitalisation. Your scientific competences should enable you to take on management responsibility.

The degree programme is based on Germany's globally unique expertise in mining rehabilitation, especially for uranium, lignite and ore mining. It was created as a concept for a unique, research-oriented degree programme. The Master's programme combines natural sciences, engineering and economics as well as environmental law and management of geo-resources.

The student should be motivated to critically examine the methods and procedures of the field. He should become aware of the responsibility he has through his activity and knowledge. This is in order to be able to contribute to overcoming social and global problems, especially in the development of sustainable and environmentally compatible methods in mining and mining rehabilitation, under business-management aspects.
