Samarkand State Architecture and Construction University

By the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic No. 367 dated July 15, 1966 and by order No. 307 of the Ministry of Higher Education dated July 15, 1966, the Samarkand Architectural and Civil Engineering Institute was established. The foundation for the establishment of this institute in the city of Samarkand was, firstly, the difficult socio-economic situation in Tashkent associated with the earthquake, secondly, the image of Samarkand as the oldest city in Central Asia with almost 3000 years of history, highly developed cultural traditions, and thirdly as a historically developed scientific and cultural center. On November 8, 2022, with the decision of the President of Uzbekistan No. 416, Samarkand State Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute was re-established under the name of Samarkand State Architecture and Construction University. Today, there are 4 faculties in Samarkand state architectural and Construction University (SamSACU): - Faculty of Architecture; - Faculty of Civil Engineering; - Faculty of Engineering Communications Construction; - Faculty of Construction Management; The university has  27 departments. Accredited 28 majors for bachelors (the duration of study is from 4 years), 18 majors for the preparation of masters (the duration of study is 2 years). Today, more than 7500 students are studying at SamSACU. The team of professors and teachers includes more than 500 specialists, including more than 20 doctors of science and more than 200 candidates of science. SamSACU conducts research in the main scientific areas in its field, carries out interuniversity cooperation and has creative ties with universities of the Russian Federation, Germany, Sweden, France, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Turkey and other countries, carries out publishing activities for the release of educational, and methodical and scientific literature. The institute's marketing services provides all possible assistance and assistance in the employment of SamSACU graduates. Today, our graduates work in design institutes and organizations, architectural, landscape and design bureaus, technical and industrial design companies, construction organizations, city and regional government bodies in specialized positions. Our students gain knowledge, skills and experience, not only in terms of architecture or construction, but also the skills necessary to solve the most complex and unique problems. They clearly understand the high mission of the SamSACU graduate - to embellish the appearance of cities and villages, to preserve and recreate the cultural heritage for future generations, the traditions of great architects and builders.
