Drexel runs on a quarter system, so there are options to start in some programs at any quarter - but most students start in the fall. Applications submitted or completed after the application deadline may not be reviewed for their original term and instead reviewed for the next available term.

The quarters are:

  • Fall - September to December
  • Winter - January to April
  • Spring - April to June
  • Summer - June to August

The College sits on Drexel University’s 74-acre main campus located in what is known as “University City.” Comprised of Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of the Sciences, University City is all students all the time. The area bristles with student-oriented resources, services, stores, restaurants, and urban parks.
All College of Engineering classes, dorms, research labs, and Drexel’s new, 20,000-square-foot Innovation Studio are within easy walking distance of the College. Next-door to our College is Schuylkill Yards, a future, mixed-use community of startups, established companies, artist spaces, and upscale residences. Upon completion, it will be the gateway to Philadelphia’s entrepreneurial hub.
Drexel’s College of Engineering is located on the 3100 block of Market Street, a main east-west thoroughfare in Philadelphia, one block from the city’s central passenger train station. You can get anywhere from here. New York, Boston, and Washington, DC are all within a few hours’ ride, and there is easy access to the Philadelphia International Airport.
