The field of Geodesy and Geoinformatics is focused on the study of the shape, dimensions, and movement of the Earth's surface, as well as the use of geoinformation technologies for the placement, monitoring, and analysis of surface and subsurface objects. Graduates of this program will have in-depth knowledge and skills in geodetic measurements, cartography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, land resource management, and geoinformation systems.
During their studies, students are trained in applying geodetic equipment and technologies, collecting, storing, and analyzing data within geoinformation systems, and creating cartographic and geoinformation documents. They also gain knowledge in the role of geodesy and geoinformatics in territorial planning, land resource management, environmental monitoring, construction, and infrastructure development.
Specialists in this field can work in various public and private organizations in sectors such as construction, geology, ecology, transportation, agriculture, and more.
