At the workshops future directors get to know the puppet theatres of all continents and theatrical methods. Theory Apart from that, students obtain a full cycle of liberal arts education: history, history of Russian and foreign theatre, history of Russian and foreign literature, history of the cinema, music, philosophy, pedagogics and psychology, etc. Diploma After the graduation they get state diploma, valid throughout the world.

GITIS offers over 17 undergraduate programs covering more than 50 subjects in Ballet Master Art, Ballet Pedagogy, History and Theory of Theatre and Criticism, Performance Art Producer. Training for each subject is 4-5 years.
GITIS has Specialist Degree in the following courses: Dramatic Theatre and Cinema Actor, Musical Theatre Actor, Variety Theatre Actor, Drama Director, Musical Theatre Director, Circus Director, Variety Theatre Director, Puppet Theatre Director, Theatre Designer, Theatre Costume Designer, Puppet Theatre Designer, Sound Engineering, Performance Art Produce. Training for these subjects is 4 or 5 years.
Documentation for prospective students in Acting, Directing, Musical Theater and Variety Theater will only be provided following a successful audition.

Tuition at GITIS at undergraduate level is US$10,000 per year. International students can receive Russian funding provided by Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Ministry of Education.
