Read more thesis/capstone Project under the guidance of a faculty supervisor. At present the main focus of the TE program curriculum is on four major areas- yarn manufacturing, fabric manufacturing, wet processing and apparel manufacturing. A student is expected to be specializedon any one of these groups without compromising the fundamental knowledge of textile processing engineering. Moreover, courses in basic science, mathematics, and relevant branch of engineering including laboratory experience will enable them to introduce with modern equipment for measurement and design. In addition, education in humanities, social sciences, ethical principles and management is provided with special attention to develop communication skills. Technical elective coursework, designed to encourage individual interests, provides the opportunity to gain in depth knowledge in a particular discipline. This facilitates the development of special skills as well as problem solving, teamwork, and engineering design skills with the aid of latest tools. The courses on Bachelor of Science in textile engineering are designed to emphasize on a strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and chemistry, followed by a thorough coverage of basic textile engineering courses such as fiber science and technology, polymer science, textile physics, testing and quality analysis of various textile fibers, yarn manufacturing and processing, fabric manufacturing, wet processing, operation and supply chain management, environmental pollution and control etc. At the end of the programs, students are exposed to high performance textiles, advanced finishing technology, modern weaving and non-woven technology, instrumental analysis of textiles, advanced yarn manufacturing etc. Upon successful Completion of the completing the program, the students will have the ability to deliver industry skills, leadership as well as corporate job responsibilities.
