The Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology is an International Joint-Degree program, which is a cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Liverpool. Our program aims at producing highly-qualified researchers specializing in biomedical sciences and biotechnology who are skillful in the application of advanced technologies and innovations that meet international standards.  Our focuses on in-depth research will create a new body of knowledge in the fields of biomedical sciences and biotechnology.  
Students can choose to enrol either in Chulalongkorn University or University of Liverpool. They will be provided with access to the electronic systems of both institutions. Every student will be assigned at least two supervisors: at least one from University of Liverpool and one from Chulalongkorn University. Students will spend a minimum of 12 months at each institution. During their period of study, students may undertake the University of Liverpool’s Teaching for Researchers Program, and other suitable courses to develop their learning and teaching skills. In such cases, the students may spend more than 12 months in Liverpool. The joint Ph.D. award will be certified by a single certificate carrying the crests of both partner institutions.

Chulalongkorn University welcomes international applicants (non-holders of a Thai passport) for undergraduate admission to international programs.  Currently, 19 undergraduate programs are offered in English. (See https://www.chula.ac.th/en/academics/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/) There are two admission rounds, Early Admissions and Admissions. The application period is from December to February. (Applicants should note the application dates for each program.)
