In the fourth industrial revolution era of the 21st century, the boundaries between different fields of study are gone and converged interdisciplinary knowledge is an essential qualification. In contrast to the past when it was sufficient enough to study only one field, it has been never more important to acquire the knowledge of many different fields and creative problem-solving abilities that result from converged specialized knowledge. In order to meet such needs of the times, the School of Global Convergence Studies aims to train students who have creative problem- solving abilities based on their converged knowledge complete with at least two majors among humanities, sociology, economics, natural sciences and engineering. During the 1st year, the students will investigate the fields of study that best suits them together with international students. After cultivating professional knowledge, the students will choose their 1st and 2nd majors or minor during the 2nd and 3rd years to deepen the knowledge related to the major. During the senior year, they will carry out the capstone course to apply the converged knowledge in actual fields.
