In this course, students will explore medical technology and gain the laboratory experience and analytical skills needed to succeed in fields such as medical diagnosis, medical research or other health-related fields. Students will examine disease processes and learn the technical skills needed to handle patient material, perform clinical testing and analyse results. Students will learn about human biology, cell and molecular biology, and molecular genetics, and cover a range of clinical laboratory disciplines including microbiology, immunology, biochemistry and haematology.
