Our comprehensive curriculum balances quantitative with qualitative skills, focusing on building the technical skills needed to understand systems and the critical thinking, design and communication skills needed to govern and critique them. Course topics include foundational information science, data ethics, statistics, data flow analysis, communications, cultural competencies and data and project management knowledge, with additional concentration areas in user experience/interaction design and data analytics and data management. The need for technology and data-savvy professionals has never been greater, and graduates of the Master of Science in Information will be prepared and qualified to take on a variety of roles across industries including corporations, startups, nonprofits and government organizations.
