Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, construction engineering or civil engineering from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or its equivalent from a foreign institution. If you have a bachelor's degree in another field, you can still qualify for this program by taking specific prerequisite courses. You can meet this requirement by completing the online Certificate in Construction Management or a comparable program at another institution.

The University of Washington offers around 180 undergraduate majors, and class sizes are typically below 100. Applications for enrolling the following autumn open on 1 September every year. You’ll need to apply online and pay an application fee. As well as submitting your SAT/ACT test scores and completed writing section (including personal statement), international students will need to submit proof of their English language proficiency and their high school transcript. Tuition fees for international undergraduate students are currently $34,926 per year. 

The University of Washington offers more than 370 graduate programs, offered through its three campuses as well as online. To apply, you should submit your application via the UW’s graduate school. You will require the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, as well as a master’s if you’re applying for a PhD
  • At least a 3.0 GPA or equivalent – some graduate programs may require a higher GPA
  • Proof of English proficiency, if it’s not your first language

The graduate school recommends that international students budget $26,898 per calendar year for living costs on top of their tuition fees. To help fund your studies, all students are eligible to take part in assistantships.
