This taught programme is designed for Graduates who want to practise overseas and don’t need an RTPI accredited qualification. You’ll not only gain a good understanding of town and regional planning but will also be able to tailor your studies to reflect your needs and interests, in consultation with the Programme Director. Three pathways are available for the MATRP: Pathway A (Spatial Planning), Pathway B (Urban Design) and Pathway C (Spatial Modelling). You’ll choose from a range of postgraduate planning modules and will prepare a dissertation (60 credits). There are significant career opportunities in the field of planning, urban regeneration and environmental management working for local authorities, the private and voluntary sectors. Within the planning sphere graduates can become involved in a variety of different positions concerned with helping to improve the quality of our towns and cities.

A 2:1 degree in a related subject, such as Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics. Applications with non traditional qualifications and relevant work experience are also welcome and will be considered on individual merit.
