The Course is held in Udine and Trieste. You will learn experimental analysis methods and modern technologies, and acquire a rigorous understanding of the theoretical elements and methods of Maths and IT. The Course is organized into three curricula with 5 distinct specializations, which reflect the research activities in physical disciplines carried out by the two Universities and the numerous national and international research bodies found in the Region, and with which there are collaboration agreements. To perfect your preparation, the Course comprises advanced Quantum Theory, mathematical models, modern physics, and physical experimentation methods. You will also study Chemistry, Computer Science, Biophysics, Mathematics, and Geophysics. Some of the courses will be broadcast in both universities.
Laboratory activities include lessons and practical experiments, data analysis or numerical simulations. The thesis preparation work takes up most of the second year and is carried out within a research group.
Graduates in Physics can access a broad range of jobs in organization and planning, and have good prospects of obtaining managerial positions. In particular, they can do research at national and international research centers, research at University, work in the field of promoting and developing scientific and technological innovation, or work in the field of radiology in hospitals.
