About Università degli Studi di Udine
Established in 1978, the University of Udine is the only Italian university born out of popular will. It aims to promote higher education, research, technology transfer, internationalization, and interaction with the local community in a reciprocal flow of knowledge, experiences, and projects. An example is Uniud Lab Village, a new hub of laboratories where students and companies can interact, sharing know-how and research facilities. Uniud Lab Village also hosts internships and practical activities, which provide valuable added value to students' education and their integration into the workforce. In fact, Almalaurea, the national database of graduates for access to the job market and professions, shows that employment rates place Uniud graduates at the top in Italy and consistently above the national average.

The University offers 31 computer labs and classrooms, 335 research and teaching laboratories and 7 well-equipped libraries. state-of-the-art science laboratories, language laboratories and IT rooms. The campuses are spacious, equipped with canteens and/or vending machines; they are plenty of gardens and green areas. Uniud offers various services to ensure the well-being of its students, so as to assist those who have problems adapting to university life or those who encounter difficulties during their studies.
The University Sports Center of Udine organizes sports services and activities, tournaments, competitive activities, as well as national and international sports events. Furthermore, the dual career program Sport & Study enables student athletes to benefit from a range of advantages.
Student life
Udine is a people-friendly city: it offers all the attractions of a bigger center – pubs, cafes, restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops, discos, theaters, cinemas, museums, gyms and so on – but it retains its human dimension – it is safe and compact, so you can walk or cycle everywhere and at all times of the day and night. Moreover, music-lovers can supplement their university training at the local conservatory.The city has a very rich and varied calendar of cultural events: from music concerts (rock, pop, rap, jazz, classical) to the internationally acclaimed Far East Cinema Festival or the food and wine festival.
Udine is at the earth of Europe: Austria, Slovenia and Croatia are nearby and easily reached by public transport so as Venice or Milan. Its position is situated half-way between the mountains and the sea so there are a lot of activities to do.

The University of Udine guarantees free enrollment to those who present an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) up to 26,000 euros and maintain the merit requirements required by law. Additionally, reductions are provided for ISEE up to 60,000 euros.
