Master Criminal and Criminal Procedural Law (formerly Master in Criminal Justice) is a LLM that provides with profound knowledge of Criminal Substantive Law and Criminal Procedure Law, paying special attention to recent criminal phenomenon, such as corruption, organised crime, high-tech crimes, white-collar crimes or restorative justice, as well as to expansion of abilities concerned the accusation instruments in these types of criminality, taking as starting point the principles of Rule of Law of social and democratic state. The Master is divided into two semesters with the possibility to define the area of specialization in the second one by choosing up to four subject from a variety of proposed optional ones. The studies also include elaboration of master’s thesis (12 ECTS) and its defence at the end of the course in front of tribunal of experts. There is the additional possibility of carrying out, voluntarily, extra-curricular professional internships in Institutions, Courts and Law Firms of recognised prestige during the academic year.

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) offers 159 master programs and 20 doctoral programs in the varying fields of investigative research ongoing at the University. Over 40% are taught in English. 

The programs are organized into four Schools, encompassing the areas of Law; Business and Economics; Humanities, Communication and Social Sciences; and Engineering and Basis Sciences.
