Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy integrates the classical pharmaceutical education with new opportunities for scientific and educational activities carrying out interaction of fundamental science with the pharmaceutical industry.

The Institute of Pharmacy established in 1936 and as Moscow Pharmaceutical Institute. Historically, the Institute of Pharmacy is one of the largest and main leaders in training of specialists for the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2010, in accordance with the challenges of time and the requests of medicine and pharmacy, Biotechnologists have been trained, since 2012 - Bioengineers and bioinformatics. These are promising specialties included in the Atlas of new professions, which are in demand by both the industry and students. The Institute of Pharmacy is a modern scientific and educational center for training pharmaceutical specialists that fully implements scientific and educational programmes In the field of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Education. The academic staff implementing the 33.05.01 Pharmacy educational programmee - highly qualified professionals that correspond to the requirements for personnel of Federal Educational Standard. Each member of teaching staff has academic titles, specialized education and required work experience having undergone proficiency testing. 

Today there are three educational programmes provided by the Institute: 

Pharmacy 3105.01- Specialist Degree Programme 

Bioengineering & Bioinformatics 06.05,01- Specialist Degree Programme Biotechnology 19.03.61- Bachelor Degree Programme 

The Institute of Pharmacy has about 1,600 students. The share of foreign students in the pharmacy programme is constantly increasing and is about 10%. 

Institute's mission is to create a unified scientific and educational environment for creating innovative biomedical products and training specialists and research personnel for the biopharmaceutical industry at the level of world leaders. 

Mission, strategy and outcomes of the Programme: 

The mission of the educational programme in Pharmacy 33.05.01 Is to provide the biopharmaceutical industry with world level standards specialists. 

The objectives of the educational programme in Pharmacy- is the formation of universal, general and professional competencies, ensuring the social mobility and stability on labor market, training of pharmacist with practical thinking. The goal of the programme in the area of students' personal growth is to develop social and personal qualities: self-discipline, self-development, responsibility, patriotic consciousness, tolerance, and sociability. 

The educational goal is to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for professional activity, to ensure development of competencies necessary for personal and professional development. 

The pedagogical task is to contribute to the formation of socially responsible behavior, understanding and acceptance of social and ethical standards, the ability to work in a team. The developing goal Is the formation of a system of social needs and values with the focus on building a successful career. 

The education program is focused on training of pharmaceutical chemists able to carrying out self-dependent pharmaceutical practice. Training is practice-oriented and is aimed at formation of common cultural and professional competencies which let providing drug circulation in accordance with the requirements and regulations.

Program staffing: doctors and candidates of sciences, academicians of the Russian Academy of Science, leading specialists of healthcare and medical insurance system.

- interactive study technologies, use of multimedia equipment and internet communication, practical training with the help of simulation technologies. 

Potential and actual business partners of the program pharmaceutical organizations, bodies of surveillance and control in the sphere of pharmacy, healthcare management bodies of various levels, medical insurance companies. 

Graduates of the program are in demand in organizations of surveillance and control in the sphere of pharmacy, public national and international health protection organizations, professional pharmaceutical associations. The program provides possibility to learn one or more additional vocational programs, to get simultaneously a second or continued higher education. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to easily design their professional career, in particular to study in Residency and for a Ph.D. degree. 

Curriculum 

The Curriculum of the Programme developed by the University in accordance with the FSES GM requirements and the Professional Standard uses a competence-based approach which determines that upon completion of the Programme graduates shall demonstrate full mastering of all the competencies necessary for successful independent practice as a Physician, M.D. Successful mastering of the Programme supposes consistent passing of disciplines of the Curriculum. The applied teaching methods ensure the process of gradual mastering of the curriculum's disciplines based on the principle of increasing complexity, which makes it possible to effectively develop the necessary competencies among the students. The knowledge and skills acquired within each discipline serve as a basis for the study of subsequent disciplines of the curriculum, and also ensure the graduates' readiness for further training, either In residency or at graduate school (PhD). Each discipline involves theoretical component and practical skills training.
