The program of Veterinary Medicine was established in 1987 to qualify Saudi students for the degree of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. In 1987, 11 students were admitted to the program and, in 1992, eight students graduated from it. Since that time, the number of students enrolled has increased gradually. The Bachelor Program of Veterinary Medicine has been subjected to three revisions over the past few years, since the curriculum started with code (VET) at 1987G, was then replaced by a study plan with code (BVM) at 2002G, which was in turn replaced by a new study plan with code (VMD) at 2017G in order to keep pace with developments in the university’s requirements and the changes that are occurring globally within veterinary medicine teaching, as well as the local and regional developments and requirements.The Program is fully accredited up to December 2029
