The title of Doctor constitutes the culmination of the university career, therefore, it is necessary to extreme the requirements for its achievement. Asimism, even if the Doctorate is a hierarchical expression of scientific research, its format will respond to a gradual, orderly and systematic development that facilitates this objective, debidendo its studies to be structured in such a way as to converge an adequate interrelation of the different political disciplines, humanistics and sociales.
In accordance with the statement, the objectives of the Doctorate in Political Science are: 1. Promote the progress of science, contribute to the perfection of its methods and expand the scope of its knowledge. 2. Obtain significant and original contributions that contribute to the development of Political Science. 3. Train researchers and university professors of the highest academic level.
The qualifications and competences of the graduates detach themselves from the previous goals. In this sense, the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the UCA hopes that its graduates with the title of Doctor will contribute in particular to the development of Political Sciences, carrying out as researchers and/or university professors a work of recognized academic hierarchy.
