Core professional coursework covers the fundamentals of respiratory therapy, cardiopulmonary physiology, and other specialized areas. How you'll learn more: We offer four simulation suites and a 10-bed intensive care unit to prepare you to handle the most critical situations. Our diagnosis lab challenges you to understand the patient's perspective and to make the best clinical decisions possible. Your clinical rotations offer experience with a variety of patients and essential care settings. You'll attend classes two or three days per week at our campus in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Where it can take you: The respiratory care profession offers an exciting future with plenty of potential for growth. Respiratory therapy is one of the most in-demand health care fields and there is a need for more trained professionals. Your options for practice range from neonates to geriatrics, hospitals to community centers, and research to education. Outcomes: We prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRT).
